When they sit, the old limping nights,
On their haunches and hardly move,
When the bleary eyes, with hazy sight,
And the yawns stuck, on the mouth's roof -
The wind travels from distance afar,
Lifts dust from memories,shakes'em astir,
Them, the sleep deprived nights beckon,
They seek company in them, I reckon.
On the murky sky,the fragmented clouds hover,
Around the star-forsaken confused moon-
Along the earth the serpentine roads stretch forever,
Wondering, where they'd meet and how soon!
Moments from a time gone by, gather in a flock,
A time, pierced and riddled with excruciating pain,
When desires unfettered, indisciplined ran amok,
Dreams sired, but aborted with utter disdain.
Voices travel across seas and oceans,
That had sung of deaths and demons,
The terrified silence screams; they're no notions,
Gnawing at the bones, coursing through the veins.
The wind , into gale turned,
The sky , in God's ire burned,
The storm vented it's rage,
Howling, like a beast in a cage.
The earth trembled, every rain drop a tear,
The trees lashed, each leaf, shaking with fear,
The deities of the dark scrambled,no place to hide,
Thunder roared and rains on the panes did slide.
My dreams horrified, shook me awake,
Startled,I sat up to see the dawn streaming
Through the mist; no not a mistake-
I smile at God,as I watch His Sun beaming.
It was only a dream,
Or was it my soul's scream?
The buried truth, perhaps not forgotten,
It was in the past,or is it just a delusion?
