Waiting for Winter

Oh, Winter, where art thou?
I miss you and how!
All we get,a brief glimpse of you,
In the drops of morning dew,
On the leaves when they dance,
And tell us of your fleeting presence.
Soon,out comes the Sun,
And spoils their frolic and fun.
You melt away and they drown,
In his scorching glare and angry frown.
But the Wind sings your song in anticipation,
You feature in Mother Nature's rendition.
Show up,long awaited Winter,
In lakes and ponds crystal clear,
The White Celebration lies in wait,
When will the fire crackle in the grate?
November waited much too long,
To hear your footsteps of old.
How long before December wakes up,
To find you at her threshold ?!

Me,Without You.

What if I had you still?
Maybe I would have my fill,
Because I would be me within you,
Would I keep loving you the way I do?!

The pain of being me without you,
Would be missing too,
If now,I had you with me,
Would I pine for you the way I do?

I'd let my heart be aflame,
Rather than the desire be tame,
Let it remain incomplete,this love,
Wonder if Providence or fate to blame!

If I still had you,
Would my prayers be you?
I let my days, devoid of you,be of use,
For invocation of you, my Muse.

This eternal wait for your return,
This uncertainty, this heartburn,
I wouldn't trade, even for you,
Then,I wouldn't love you, the way I do.

Now I find love everywhere,
Even in your neglect, absence of care,
I treasure this all encompassing pain,
It renders my love insanely sane,

But somewhere I do have you,
I suffer,I know,so do you,
Sleepless nights mock you ,
Even when boundless love loves you,

When love's sultry breath, interspersed,
With sighs, that are torn out of you,
Then you hold me in your stony heart,
With despise,sometimes with love,too.
